A £3.5m Creative Arts Building at KGV College in Southport has been successfully completed. The two storey building will accommodate various subjects including art and design, drama, film and media studies, music and music technology as well as other A level students.

The large modern complex offers spacious and bright teaching areas and a 120 seat lecture theatre that can alternatively be used as performance space for College drama and dance productions.Individual group practice rooms, recording and sound editing studios, control rooms and a film studio are incorporated into the building. The project achieved excellent Considerate Constructors Scheme scores of 39/50 as well as Performance beyond Compliance.

“the building is even more amazing than we could ever have dreamed of and the facilities are truly overwhelming. When work started on the project 16 months ago this day seemed like a distant dream so it has been lovely to see everything come together finally. – Jan Regan, Assistant Principal HR and Estates”
